This Privacy Policy explains how Globez (“Globez,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Globez mobile app and related services (the “Service”).

2. Information We Collect

a) Information you provide

• Username and profile details you choose to provide (for example: name and bio).
• Messages and replies you send (user-generated content).
• Support and feedback communications you send to us.

b) Sign in with Apple

Globez uses Sign in with Apple for authentication. We receive a unique identifier associated with your Apple ID. Apple may also share your name and email address if you choose to provide them.

c) Location information (optional)

If you enable the Nearby room, we process approximate location data to determine a true 25-mile radius. This may include latitude and longitude values up to three decimal places. Your precise coordinates are never shown publicly. Other users may see your city and state.

d) Technical and administrative information

• Basic device and app information (such as app version), and timestamps related to messages and activity.
• Moderation and enforcement records (for example: reports, outcomes, and related metadata).

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Operate and maintain the Service, including delivering chat messages and syncing history.
• Provide Nearby functionality when enabled, including radius filtering and city/state display.
• Moderate content, investigate reports, prevent abuse, and enforce platform rules.
• Respond to support requests and improve reliability and performance.

4. Tracking and Advertising

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your information for third-party advertising or tracking as defined by Apple.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose information if required by law, or if we believe it is necessary to protect the safety, rights, and integrity of the Service, our users, or others.

6. Data Retention

Globez retains recent chat messages on a rolling basis to operate the Service (for example, the most recent portion of chat history, such as the last 1,000 messages in a room). Older messages may be automatically removed as new messages are created.

Messages that are reported or subject to moderation review may be retained indefinitely for safety, enforcement, and legal compliance purposes.

Location data used for Nearby is processed for functionality and retained only as necessary to provide the feature and support moderation.

7. Your Choices

• You can enable or disable location at any time in iOS Settings.
• You can edit your profile information in-app.
• You can block users to stop seeing their messages, and you can report messages for review.

8. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

9. Children’s Privacy

Globez is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be effective when posted on this page.
